Plain-language terms. By using GradApp you agree to the following. Nothing here waives your rights under mandatory consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction.
What GradApp does
GradApp is a graduate-school application assistant. You upload your CV; we match you to professors, faculties, and universities whose public research overlaps your research interests; we draft outreach emails that reference real papers. We do not guarantee admissions outcomes, funding, or responses from any professor.
Your account
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. You must be at least 16 years old (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). One account per person. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service, send spam, or violate applicable laws.
Acceptable use
- Don't upload CVs that aren't yours without the author's consent.
- Don't use GradApp to send unsolicited commercial or abusive email.
- Don't scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to circumvent our rate limits or security controls.
- Don't upload content that infringes copyright or violates any third party's rights.
Your content
You retain ownership of everything you upload — your CV, your profile text, your emails. You grant GradApp a limited license to process that content solely to provide the service (parsing, matching, drafting emails). This license ends when you delete your account.
AI-generated content
Matches, explanations, and outreach drafts are produced by language models and are not guaranteed to be accurate. Always review a draft before sending it. Professor citations are grounded in publicly-indexed publications, but we can't guarantee the model's phrasing reflects a professor's current focus.
No warranty
GradApp is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GradApp's total liability to you for any and all claims arising out of or relating to the service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) USD 50.
Termination
You can delete your account at any time from the settings page. We can terminate or suspend your account if you materially breach these terms.
Changes
If we change these terms in a way that affects your rights materially, we'll email you first. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new terms.
